CHILDREN’S CLASSES 
Children’s Classes meet for 8 weeks unless otherwise noted.

AGES 6 & up
CERAMICS
Thursdays, 3:30 - 5:00 p.m., starts Jan. 19
Students will learn ceramic hand-building skills and glazing techniques. More advanced students will hone their skills, and develop their own unique styles. New artists will be introduced to inspire their exploration of clay. Fee: $240, Materials Fee: $20, Teacher: Rebecca Tager

AGES 9 - 12:
CREATIVE WRITING
Tuesdays, 3:30 - 5:00 P.M., starts Jan. 17
Want your child to shine in Language Arts? Learn how to become a better writer?  Alison Bell, author of the ZIBBY PAYNE book series, is offering a fiction writing class for both returning and new students. Through fun, interactive activities, students will learn about character development, plot, setting, dialog, point of view, word choice, symbolism, and theme, and also create a personal portfolio of their work. MULTIMEDIA ARTS
Mondays, 3:30 - 5:00 p.m., starts Jan. 23 (new start date!)
Multimedia means a lot of different materials, and we'll be mixing everything up in this fun class which will include collage and photo transfer, as well as learning drawing, printmaking and painting skills. Fee: $240, Teacher: Siri France
ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN
Saturdays, 1:00 - 2:30 p.m., starts Feb. 18, meets for 6 weeks*
Interested in architecture? Love buildings? Learn the basic skills of architecture, model-building and 3-D design. Kids will use scale drawings, mixed-media sculptures and models to plan unique homes, innovative buildings, futuristic furniture and more! Fee:$200 , Teacher: Marie Miller

AGES 12 & UP: 
URBAN PHOTOGRAPHY
Sundays, 2:00 - 4:00 p.m., Meets 5 times: 1/29, 2/5, 2/12, 2/19, 2/26 
Explore the ways photography can help you present the world as you see it. This class will take field trips via the metro around LA where you will use the landscape of the city to express your unique view. Students will learn how to edit their photos into an online portfolio of their best work. Students must supply their own digital camera, preferably a DSLR. Fee: $280, Teacher: Shannon Leith

TEEN FICTION  
Wednesdays, 3:30 - 5:00 p.m., starts Jan. 18
Teens will explore fiction writing – character development, plot, setting, dialog, and more  – through engaging writing assignments, contests, games, and mini-field trips.   This class will nurture students’ creativity and individuality and give them new techniques for self-expression.  Students will also have the opportunity to bring in any current projects they are working on for feedback and motivation.  At the end of the sessions, students will take home a portfolio of their work. AGES 14 & UP:
TEEN ART CLUB
Fridays, 7 - 9 p.m., Next meeting February 16
For teens aged 14 and up, a club is being formed for those interested in having a creative place to hang out with friends and like-minded students. Teens will be able to explore art-making at their own pace and according to their own interests. Features field trips and guest visits by professionals in the arts. An ongoing ceramics workshop for both beginners and more advanced students. In a relaxed, fun setting, students will be able to create beautiful pieces such as vases, mugs, tiles, etc. for themselves or their loved ones. EVERYONE CAN DRAW
Tuesdays, 10:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., starts Jan. 31
Welcome to returning students and new arrivals. This term we will continue to develop our drawing skills as we work from a live model, still lifes, and create on our own imaginative compositions. The emphasis is on feeling free to create with confidence and enjoyment in a supportive atmosphere, while learning new drawing skills. If you have any objects or photos which you would like to use as inspiration please bring them with you to the class. Fee: $240, Teacher: Siri France
INTUITIVE PAINTING CLASS
Wednesdays, 10:00 a.m.  - 12:00 p.m., starts Feb. 8
You will be be shown different water based techniques so you can learn the ones you are the most comfortable with. From color crayons, ink, tempura and gouache to acrylic. You will learn simple tricks to bypass the mind, let go of the super ego voice, and trust yourself, so that images can appear in your art work, reflecting your inner truth and wisdom. It is an individual journey, yet to do it in a group will make you feel supported and increase the energies and possibilities. NO artistic experience needed to enjoy this fun and relaxing class, just the willingness to explore your own inner landscape. Fee: $240, Teacher: Regine Verougstraete
